Can Berberine Help Type 2 Diabetics?

I first heard about Berberine from a client after he had visited a functional medicine clinic to work on his diabetes. The doctors “prescribed” Berberine (it’s available over-the-counter) to help increase insulin sensitivity (the mechanical root cause of diabetes).
